I was a tech person. I studied, wrote code, managed networks and built companies. IT was my natural environment, logical, measurable, predictable. Coaching? That was something for people who "needed help".

How time changes a person.

Start: A career that went exactly to plan

After my studies, I joined the technology sector. I did what IT students do, implementation, system administration, gradually moving into management positions. I was good at what I did. The numbers went up, responsibility grew, and the salary matched.

From the outside, it looked great. And honestly: from the inside, it also looked great for a long time.

I had everything expected of a successful person. So why did I feel that peculiar weight every Monday morning?

In IT, things are always changing. New technologies, new challenges, new solutions. But one thing almost never changes: the people you work with and how you communicate with them. And it was here that I began to encounter what fascinated me more than any technical problem.

Turning point: The conversation that opened doors

One day I had a performance review with a colleague who was technically excellent but increasingly difficult to work with in the team. Instead of giving standard feedback, I tried a different approach. I asked questions. A lot of questions. I didn't tell him what to do. I just asked what he wanted, what was holding him back, and how he explained the situation.

After an hour he came up with a solution himself. It was better than anything I could have suggested.

After the conversation I thought to myself: What just happened? How did this approach work better than a direct instruction?

I began my training. At first just out of curiosity, books on psychology, leadership and communication. Then I came across coaching as a method. And things started to fall into place.

IT and coaching: Surprisingly close

The more I learned, the clearer the parallel became that initially surprised me:

IT mindset versus coaching mindset

An IT background proved to be an exceptional advantage. Precise thinking, the ability to spot patterns, and empathy for people working in the technology sector. Things I had considered for years as "just IT skills" suddenly turned out to be a strong coaching toolkit.

Decision: A leap or a gradual transition?

I didn't jump. That wouldn't be in my nature.

I completed the certification programme, first coaching within my job role, then alongside it outside that role. I tested, gathered feedback and refined my approach. Exactly as in IT: proof of concept, then pilot, then production.

The transition lasted over a year. But every week there was a clearer sign that I was heading in the right direction.

For the first time in my career, I found myself on Sunday evening thinking: I'm looking forward to Monday. Not because there was nothing to do, but because the work felt meaningful in a way it hadn't before.

Why a coach for business owners and IT professionals?

I could have coached anyone. But I decided to focus on people close to me: entrepreneurs, IT managers, and people in the technology sector.

Why? Because I know how you think. I know what drains your energy. I know what a day looks like when your mind is full of technical decisions and managerial challenges, yet you still want to be present at home. We speak the same language.

And I know that it is precisely these people who are most likely to postpone coaching. "I can handle it myself." "I'm not the type for these things." "I'll wait until it gets worse.

I said so too.

What has changed since then

I work with people who are technically excellent and are looking for a way to apply what they do at work to the rest of their lives. Or conversely, those who perform brilliantly at work but at a cost that manifests elsewhere.

Every client is a different story. Every session presents a slightly different problem to explore. No two meetings are the same.

Just like in IT: but this time the system I'm tuning is human.
